Hi,

I am a user of E17 for over 3 years - always packaged so that I don't
have installation mixups.

Over the last fortnight, I've been repackaging E17 almost everyday
just to see if I can repackage as fast as the changes occur. My
environment is debian-wheezy, but with mesa-9.0.1, Xorg-1.13 and E17
of course from svn.

Some patches I use for E17 packaging (done with debian compat level
9), is to remove the MODULE_ARCH used in install paths as the
multiarch installation already does that. But some code uses the
MODULE_ARCH defs - so I set it to "." to satisy them.

I am a professional hobbyist looking to use emotion heavily (:)) in
building a digital media asset management system to enable me to edit
my large collection of HD clips using Cinelerra (which does not yet
recognise the 50FPS TS format of my clips) to produce documentaries on
environmental issues. Maybe, emotion can replace Cinelerra with some
work.

Packaging solves many problems. Anyone interested?

Cheers,
Arvind.
