Just this week I've started to teach myself the Xlib API.  If I
create a basic window, the top part of it is overwritten with
enlightenment's title bar.  (So, for example, let's say my window is
the exact height of the titlebar, then none of the window would
show.)

I'm currently using enlightenment 0.16.7.2 (on Gentoo Linux for
i386) with Xorg 6.8.2.

I can post sample code, if anyone's interested, but it's quite basic
(creates a window and a graphics context, draws a string, maps the
window and flushes the display).

I haven't had a chance to try and duplicate this behavior under any
other window managers yet.  

Mainly, I'm just curious if anyone has seen anything like this.
FWIW, my test/tutorial program doesn't set any window manager hints,
and my current guess is that maybe e needs some kind of hint to draw
the title bar in the right place.  <shrug>
