Errr, sorry, what's the look of OO got to do with Java? It uses it's own C-based GUI widgets, not Java, to display. The only Java involved is for other parts of the OO/SO system, and more recently for programming DB interaction, IIRC. I've worked with the original StarOffice guys in East Germany.
