I walked away for a bit and came back and the make was actually running.
So I guess the loop isn't "endless" it just goes a whole bunch of times.

I can get the download to work once in a while, but when I try to

I ran autogen, then configure again with prefix=/usr (where my current
e17 is), but it just prints that over and over when I run make. Any ideas?
