sounds like your xrender is very ancient thus not workable with the xrender

    did you say you just checked something into cvs for ecore?  'cuz i didn't see anything get updated just now, and i'm still getting that error building ecore....

you are also screwed for freetype i belive as we require 2.1.9 as a minimum
version. :)

    i was able to build 2.1.10, so that, at least, isn't an issue.

it should work. works on every box i have. if you have issues - why not help
debug and see where the code is going wrong and why? :)

    where would you suggest setting a breakpoint?  i will be running it inside of a VNC session (when i get free moments).
