For what little its worth, I've seen the same thing but only with Mozilla
and only occasionally. The window isn't gone, but instead of being maximized
it is one pixel wide and the height of the titlebar at the upper left corner
of my screen. With some precision mousing (or eesh commands) I can move it
and get it back to a usable size. Re-maximizing it rarely has a problem. I
can't reproduce it with any regularity so I hadn't reported it yet. It seems
to happen most when I have numerous tabs open in Mozilla (10+ say).

Slackware 10.2
