Mine is being picky for me too somewhat. Try reinstalling everything and I mean everything as in a make clean && ./autogen.sh && make && make install of every dependency in the order on 2.1 of the manual on get-e.org and doing a CVS update! It seems that it's picky about that. If that doesn't do it, reply with a gdb backtrace. Meh!
