It only affects some people, but we don't know why. Others have done complete rebuilds and everything worked fine. I rebuilt four times yesterday, with no problems. Maybe it is PPC only, as I am on an athlon. When you say you rebuild everything I assume that means completely removing all trace of enlightenment and starting from a fresh checkout? Have you tried deleting your entire ~/.e directory as well?
