Yeah, see, that's what's so frustrating about this. AFAICS, it
absolutely should work just fine... but doesn't.

It's not a tragedy... chances are, I probably couldn't use my preferred
theme anymore (japan2006) anyway. (2007 opaquified a few of the
gadgets, and I prefer them transparent... and I'm too lazy to try
modifying the .edc's)

I'll probably do a complete re-checkout and rebuild, when I get a
chance. Maybe I missed a warning or error or missed option or
something. If that doesn't fix it, I guess it's time to rebuild with
debugging turned on.

Tangential frustration: regular users can't make use of .rpm's, even if
they're using --relocate, because of the damn root-owned databases.
It'd be so much easier if I could just use your RPMs... oh, well.

There are no problems applying themes with RPMS either. Some themes
however didn't have the time to upgrade to the latest *gadcon ibar*
and might be slightly incompatible (e.g "no follower" in the bar when
you run the cursor on the items..) in that sense but that's about it.
Besides these smallissues verything works.
