One of the main reasons that people want to swap is that Alt is used by other software, swapping at the X level doesn't solve that problem. In my case, swapping the left Alt just makes things worse, since the other software usse Alt in combination with Ctrl and other things. Maybe swapping the right Alt will do the trick, but I prefer to just remap E to use Win.
