there is a command acpi_listen. it stays there and prints every time an ACPI
event is triggered. You should she there if toggle works. Also, there used
to be a kernel driver for thinkpad accelerometer named HDAPS. It's used for
hard drive protection, but also enables the accelerometer and creates also a
joystick device for using it (I played ACM with this.....really cool to fly
moving the laptop)
