Since Carsten's dialogs open in the middle I thought it might be my configuration. So I exited e17, tared up my .e/ and removed it, then logged back in loading e17. Even with a fresh and clean config and the default theme my dialogs are still opening on the right. Does this not point to something other than my config?.
I'll compile e17 on a "virgin" box at home this weekend and see what happens.
