there is something which isn't a bug and I don't know if it's a choice:
when I was using hal to manage removable devices the options "show desktop
icons" and "show device icons on desktop" were independent, and it was quite
useful for me as i don't like to have icons on desktop but device icons was
needed to access their menus in order to unmmount/eject them, so I used to
enable only device icons.
with eeze this is not possible anymore, if I want device icons I have to
enable icons on desktop :(
alternatively, it would be nice to have a submenu for device items in the
"files" menu to unmount/eject units.
