If all revisions following 64502 have this backlight function enabled by
default, is there at least a way of stopping the backlight being switched off
completely; perhaps by editing manually some config file?
On another laptop the backlight just dims down a little, but there's still
enough light around the desktop so I can still find the Settings Panel to
change the backlight settings and brighten up the monitor.
