So - For whatever reason after installing the latest batch of SVN updates on my netbook the animate in the default theme when hovering over icons on my ibar is no longer fluid. The best way I can describe it is laggy - this behaviour stops when I unload composting.
Then to be equally annoying, when compositing is unloaded on the system changing between desktop and navigating using the main menu is horribly slow and choppy - everything ran great on the system prior to this latest build.
