this may be some gnome or kde stuff doing it - not e. e's binding. e's print
screen module (shot module) doesn't allow selecting an area. ypu trigger it and
an e dialog pops up with a preview and allows u to select a specific screen if
you have > 1 screen and the quality (perfect, high, medium, low) and an option
to save, share or cancel. that's e's shot module. if you get something else
it's not e.
