So what DO you do about programs that run mostly in the background, but need some kind of place to display an icon for interacting with them? e.g. Skype, Pidgin, even Chrome displays notifications. > but in the past people have used > trayer. Yeah, wow, no! I installed that and twice in the past 12 hours or so I've had E19 lock up hard! Not sure what's going on, but after waking up my screen, all of my windows were located on one desktop, with no borders. "ps" shows there's an Enlightenment alert box somewhere, but I can't see it to click restart (if it is the usual "something's wrong!" alert). My only option has been to completely kill Enlightenment and log back in. Any idea what may have caused this Really Bad Interaction? And am i likely to see the same with any other systray replacement? I did remember to unload E's systray module beforehand, so that's not it.
