Sometimes I have to go to the menu-enlightenment-restart for the new icons to take effect. Many times I will create a new desktop file in ~/.local/share/applications/ and drag it to the Ibar. Then just restart enlightenment for it to take affect (or is it effect? :)). > > I always get error messages about not having write access to > /usr/share/icons and /usr/share/enlightenment/icons when I add an icon > to an Ibar application (several of them are defective as they have no > icon). > > Of course, I never remember this bug, so the first time this happens on > a new install, I just chown myself those directories for a few minutes > while I fix the missing icons.
