Sometimes I have to go to the menu-enlightenment-restart for the new 
icons to take effect.

Many times I will create a new desktop file in 
~/.local/share/applications/ and drag it to the Ibar.  Then just restart 
enlightenment for it to take affect (or is it effect? :)).

I always wondered about this to but don't know what the answer is except 
to make your own desktop files for the applications that do not have icons.
