If composite transitioning effects are tiresome for your eyes, perhaps it would
make sense for you to try desksanity module (
https://git.enlightenment.org/enlightenment/modules/desksanity.git/)
Which among other things provides a new set of transitioning effects, somewhat
different from the stock ones. Now the real interesting thing is you can select
which one to enable or disable. It seems that disabling all effects you get no
transition effect at all. All effects need to be disabled one by one and not by
un-checking "Disable Transition Effects" which brings the stock transition
effects back in. This seems to work just fine on the default theme,
unfortunately I haven't tried this on other themes.
