The Qt applications (CopyQ, VLC, Mageia update and network indicators) display their icons just fine, while Gtk ones (Pidgin, tomboy-ng Gtk) simply show the triangle. The tomboy-ng dev has tested both the Gtk and Qt versions in Mageia 7 with E22.4 and confirmed that the Qt version DOES show the correct icon in the systray, while the Gtk2 one shows only the triangle.
