Hi Ross,

since that I installed a lot of things, so that'd be unuseful imho, however
I still have history.

apt-get install joe locate
apt-get install enlightenment
apt-get install xinit
apt-get install fvwm
apt-get install xterm
apt-get install xserver-xorg

till now it does not work and then:

apt-get install xorg

solves the problem.

I hope it helps.

apt recommends has default setting.

Let me know if I can help.
