We have replaced over 70% of a C2 switches mostly due to fan failures. We have had two C3 fan failures so far. I'm hoping this trend doesn't continue.

The issue is with the rear blower fans which are seemingly very susceptible to dust. Dust causes wear in the bearings which in turn causes the fan to drop down and grind away on its bottom casing until it stops and fan fault syslog events come flooding in. --- To unsubscribe from enterasys, send email to [email protected] with the body: unsubscribe enterasys [email protected] This email is from the Department of Commerce and any information or attachments to it may be confidential.
