We have replaced over 70% of a C2 switches mostly due to fan failures.
We have had two C3 fan failures so far. I'm hoping this trend doesn't
continue.

Subject: [enterasys] C3 fan faults

Hi,

A couple of years ago people where experiencing fan issues in C2
stacks and I was wondering if this is still occurring as we have been
having issues in our C3 environment? The issue is with the rear blower
fans which are seemingly very susceptible to dust. Dust causes wear in
the bearings which in turn causes the fan to drop down and grind away on
its bottom casing until it stops and fan fault syslog events come
flooding in.
