Just make sure the VLAN is defined and all the vlan you want egressing are
egressing.

Code version 05.08.30....

So....

Mod Conf -> 802.1 Conf Menu -> 8021.Q Vlan -> Static Vlan

Configure Vlans...

-> Return

-> Vlan Port Config

Configure your access port vlans on the regular ports. Then on the
backplane ports (49 - 54 on my E7) make sure they are set to Q Trunk. I
usually just use Vlan 1 for those. Then press save. Set up your uplink
ports as Q Trunk as well and match your vlan end-to-end.

To make sure your vlans are egressing...go to -> Static Vlan and then
highlight the vlan you are interested in and press enter. You should see
tagged or untagged on the ports. You want to see a tagged on the backplane
ports and a tagged or untagged on the uplink ports depending on your
preference. You will also be able to tell which ones are backplane ports on
this screen by highlighting the ports and watching the upper left hand
corner.

Hope that helps,

Subject: [enterasys] Matrix E5 Access Ports

Does anyone know how to configure a standard access port on a Matrix E5
blade as trunk port? In Enterasys help guide a trunk = multiple ports
logically connected together for increased bandwidth/reliability. In Cisco
terms a trunk port carries multiple VLANs, which is how I need to configure
several ports that connect to wireless access points that are now
configured to provide multiple vlans. I created the new VLAN on the E5, but
I can't figure out how to configure the ports that connect the wireless
access points.
