Hi, thanks I added the uer public with "set snmp user public", but no change :-( I'm stumped.

The snmp targetparams is using the user "public", which will be included in the trap information. I think, if the user doesn't exist, no trap is sent (even if SNMPv1, it needs the user, the community is not enough). Please try this out an let me know. Btw, do you have NetSight Suite/Console running on any machine? Do you use NetSight syslog or/and trap receiver, or any other? Need to know for SNMPv3 as well, because you need to configure the right credentials on syslog and trap receiver, to be able to read and encrypt the SNMP packets if authentication and encryption is used for SNMPv3 packts.
