This date of manufacture is in the serial number, the first two digits is the
week, the next two digits is the year...

Asunto: [enterasys] C-series manufacture dates

Good afternoon,
I need to pull the manufacture dates off of all our C-series switches/stacks.
I am unable to find an OID for this. The only way I'm able to pull a date
close to the manufacture date is by tftping the current.log off the switch and
looking for the line like this:

Manager Log - Unit 2
 <57> APR 07 12:48:02 STK1 BOOT[268434944]: bootos.c(441) 5 %% Start of Code -
Build:03.01.45 Date:Wed Jun 29 11:09:22 2005

However, that seems to be the date of the firmware version not the
manufacture date. Which is close, I guess, but not really accurate. As you
can see by the date on we have some +5 year old switches and I need to create a
hardware replacement schedule based on the age of the device.
  Any help would be appreciated.
