Hi there, i just wanted to know if anyone experienced the same odd behaviour that we encountered: ICMP-Packets with a payload smaller than 20KB get "dropped" by our AP2620 which are in "thin" mode by a C5110 controller (FW 7.21). We have some client/server-applications that "safe-check" with ICMP packets if the server is available which leads to errors now. I have a packet-trace for anyone interested (pcap format) which clearly shows that packets below 20KB didn´t "go through". With kind regards

A support contract is the only way to go, certainly you will have less headaches. Enterasys is the ONLY place you should be downloading firmware from. They've put a lot of time, effort and experience into producing the N-Series (as well as everything else!) and its only right that firmware is sourced direct from them. If that means you need to purchase a support contract to get it, then that just means they can grow to produce even better and more feature-rich kit and continue providing EXCELLENT customer service. Regards, Andy Middlehurst Technical Support Specialist Networks First Ltd. P.S. I have no direct link with Enterasys, other than the fact I used to work for them, so you could say I'm biased, but I'd actually say the same for most manufacturers From: Corbett, James [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 06 April 2011 17:32 To: Enterasys Customer Mailing List Subject: RE:[enterasys] N7 Firmware Upgrade Hello, The Enterasys Networks website is the only authorized place to download FW.
