Hi,

And you will need to reconfigure some functions :

- Snmptrap on the devices available through a NMS contextual menu

- Syslog on the devices available through a NMS contextual menu

- Flows on the devices available through a NMS contextual menu

- Smtp server and/or sender address in the option/alarm menu

- ACLs or services ACLs on the devices

- Policy classifications rules relevant to your NMS @IP

- Etc...

Beware, you will need to have a netsight user with the admin rights on the
local machine, or you will need to verify that the account from the old domain
will be available with a server from the new domain, or new account from the
new domain worked.

A backup of your NMS installation could be done under server information,
database, backup.

Bye,
Sylvain CONTI

Objet : RE: [enterasys] Change IP address on Netsight server

Hello Peter,

Yes, no problem with that.
But after you change the IP address of the server, you need to restart the
NetSight services once, to bind the new IP address to the NetSight services.

NetSight Service Manager (icon in taskbar) --> Restart automated services.

Kind regards,

Markus
