    Status: Answered => Open

jim heffernan is still having a problem:
Is the smb.conf file erased during the uninstall?
do i need to save it for the new(old) samba ie without the 4 ?

How do I do the un-install ?
Is it still available the via the synaptic pkg mgr? the whole user interface
has changed in 12.04 and I am still learning

do you know the script commands that I could run in terminal to un-
install 4 and reinstall the old samba?

Thanks for all your help

Jim
