That is what I did. Last night, though, I opended the Normal-template and
changed it with that open, and BINGO, that did it. I'm not sure whether that
should be necessary, though.

Are you sure you removed the i->I entry in the AutoCorrect settings in word?
Go to Tools->AutoCorrect in Word and remove the entry in the "replace as you
type" table that corresponds to i->I and that should do it.
