With an install base of about a dozen Palms here at the office, I've seen
this countless times.  I'm unsure of what the problem is, or what the fix
really is.  I've found that dropping the sync speed way down, rebooting,
turn the palm off then on, and then doing a synch will usually allow the
synch to happen.  From there, raise the connection speed back up a level
each synch.  Eventually, you'll be going "as fast as possible."
