I'm hoping (with some confidence) that John Carlsen will soon release his
updated eMessage Archiver for Entourage, with these features and more:
* Preselect which folders you want to archive.
* Preselect the cut-off date for archiving (n days old)
* Optionally include/exclude flagged messages
* Optionally include/exclude by priority
* Optionally exclude unread/unsent messages
* Choose disposal of archived messages (move to Deleted Items or other
folder, or leave alone)
* Unattended or background operation of the archiving process, allowing you
to continue with other work while archiving
* Keeps track of most (maybe all) the items of information in Entourage,
such as links, attachments, various status flags such as read/unread,
replied to, or forwarded to.
* Fast searching in the FMP archives
* Ability to import directly from Crevier archive files to eMA
I am still awaiting John Carlsen's final version of eMA. About three weeks
ago he said he'd be done in a week or so. John typically takes five or six
times longer than he expects because he keeps refining things and improving
things, and adding new features as he goes. I have an early beta version of
his archive that lacks a number of key features (such as fast searches).
John has already told me I will need to export all my current archives to a
new format when I get his updated version, so I don't recommend starting
with anything but the final version.
I recommend you subscribe to John's eMA mailing list (very low traffic), so
you are notified when he announces his new version.
