No, there's no way to delete a message without first (in effect) moving it
to Deleted Messages. You can simulate a "permanent delete" with AppleScript,
doing two consecutive deletes; that moves the message to Deleted Messages,
then proceeds to delete it from that folder. It doesn't save any time, but
would only require one menu selection, or key combo if you assign one to the
script.
