Ok, I've been berated (appropriately) by a lot of list members now for not seeing the archives note at the bottom of every email message. (Which in the meantime jud has noted needs to be updated to reflect the change to a new domain for the list.) However, as a further explanation of my original message, I find myself to be a real stickler for standards and I didn't even look for the archives note in the mail message. Whether it's a standard or just "the way things are done" usually the subscribe, unsubscribe, archives etc. information is listed in the welcome and/or help message for the list. (Hence the reason I asked jud about them in my message.) A secondary idea was including them in the RFC headers which must be a standard, but there isn't a "List-Archive" or whatever RFC header in these mail messages. A tertiary idea was including the information in the mail message (Doh! I didn't look there.) but this information was out of date, but not obsolete, as is now revealed. Sorry to get everyone so riled up. I agree it gets aggravating for what seems to be an elementary question.
