That's why I suggest that you DO NOT set this script up to run automatically from your Junk Mail Filter. Set the filter to file the mail into a folder, then go review the messages, select those you want to delete, and run the script. If you had examined the message before running the script, you would not have done this, I think.
Actually, I have not posted my most recent version. It does not simply delete the attachments; it deletes the entire message including the attachment after sending the spam report. Look on my web site in a hour or so (Entourage Scripts:Message Operations. I've added about 8 new scripts there today; also, check AppleScriptCentral.com in a day or two.) I'll post another message about the new scripts shortly (my iDisk is being very sluggish today). -- Microsoft MVP for Entourage/OE/Word Allen Watson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> XNS name: =Allen Watson Applescripts for Outlook Express and Entourage: <http://homepage.mac.com/allenwatson/> > From: "Harry (lists)" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Reply-To: "Entourage:mac Talk" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Date: Sat, 22 Dec 2001 05:24:57 -0800 > To: Entourage mac Talk <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, Allen Watson > <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: Re: new SPAMCOP script for Entourage? > > The current version of Allen's script that I'm using deletes attachments. > Once an attachment is deleted, where exactly does it go (i.e. can I restore > a deleted attachment?) > > The function of removing attachments can become a problem for mail that is > erroneously cataloged as junk-mail - of course, the one mail in weeks that > is mistakenly filed as junk, had an attachment. > > Any ideas? > > Harry > > > -- > To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To search the archives: > <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/> -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To search the archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
