You said you didn't understand my question fully and that someone else will have to answer it. Here it is, hopefully stated more clearly. If you cannot answer it, could you find the "someone else will have to answer it"?
I import from Eudora to Entourage X and it imports contacts well.
In Eudora, I had a number of messages in my "In" box, waiting for me to transfer them to various other boxes in which I save messages. these collected messages in my Eudora "In" box did not get imported into my Entourage "In" box.
I also had various other mailboxes in Eudora in which I had saved messages. None of these got imported into Eudora.
P.S. I know I'm asking a number of questions, but none of them are answered in help menus. I expect to have all these basic issues cleared up soon and won't be continuing to ask a lot of questions.
But Barry Wainwright answered it, Richard. If you go for a while without checking mail, it might make sense to view mail folders where you receive mailing list mail as Threaded (View menu), and perhaps "Unread Only", and then check through all the messages in a thread to see if an answer has come before immediately responding again.
In any case - where should I know who to ask, better than you, if I don't know the answer? I'm not going to send one of the developers a private email - they read this mailing list too, and will occasionally answer if other replies aren't forthcoming. You're already in the correct place to be asking the question, and someone who knows will probably answer in due course. Just be a little patient. And if they don't, they don't. This is the place to ask, and you've done so. What am I supposed to do about it if I don't know the answer since I never imported mail from Eudora?
