Entourage never had a problem with disk space: OE's rebuild did. Who said
Entourage had a problem with disk space? If the OE database was slightly
corrupt, yes that's exactly where Entourage might fail to import it one time
and might manage it the second time. Why, I don't know, but that really is
possible. It might even have something to do with how much memory was
available to it in the system in each import, but I really don't now that
for sure. You would have had to set a memory watch each time. If you had
Classic open one time and not the other, that might have affected the memory
situation too.

If you had done a successful rebuild in OE first, you would not have had
problems on either occasion.
