It would be possible to set up a script to prune the list after the fact.
Possibly, Paul B's "Reply Insertion/All Reversed" scripts might do some or
all of what you need for replies, and you could adapt them for forwarding.
Take a look at the scripts that exist and see what you think:

These are OS X scripts. I just noticed you are still on E2001. They won't
work, because scripting for reply and forward got MUCH easier in X. You'd
probably be better off with a "fix-up" script that just deletes the
extraneous address lines...and no, I don't know of any yet.
