Hi, Started using Entourage for MacOS X version 10.0.0 (1309) yesterday. Configured it for four different accounts. All four accounts are POP. I'm running Mac OS 10.1.4 on a PB G3 Series with 512MB RAM, 233MHz, 512K cache. Everything worked just fine, until a few hours ago.
At each cmd+k to download mail from all four accounts, I was prompted, and am still prompted to enter the password for that particular account: - this doesn't happen with the other accounts. - when I created that account, I entered the password, and saved it in the password keychain. - when I no open the account pane (Edit), the password isn't there. I enter it, and the save in keychain check button is checked automatically. - click OK, close the pane. - open it again, no password. I have found in the archives a reference to "There are some known (and fixed in the SR) issues with repeated prompt for password..." I'll be grateful to anybody who will point me to that SR, whatever that is. I've started using Entourage X mainly because its ability to interact with GPG through AppleScripts. I'm an inveterate Eudora user (seven years), but I'm willing to migrate. This password thing doesn't look good. I have had these prompts in Eudora, but they were mostly related to the mail server behavior, and very seldom to something wrong in Eudora itself. And the problem was easy and quick to solve. Thanks in advance for any help.
