(As in the following example.) It's a new feature. What used to happen was that people would often lose half their message, or more, when they changed signatures: it turned out that this would occur when they had ever edited their signature in any way - put the cursor anywhere in the signature area (including a blank line that may actually be part of the signature). So now, under those circumstances, he new sig gets added, and nothing is removed. You now will never, ever lose any text when switching signatures. If you haven't dipped into the signature area with the cursor, switching signatures should still work as you'd expect. But if ever you put the cursor into the sig area, just to remove or add a blank line perhaps, and then switch, you get the new sig added. And it will get added wherever your cursor no happens to be , I've noticed. It means that a script i had running from a schedule to change my sig to what you see below now adds a new copy every minute - I can end up with 20 of them! So I can't use that script any more. -- Paul Berkowitz MVP Entourage PLEASE always state which version of Entourage you are using - 2001 or X. It's often impossible to answer your questions otherwise. I don't know if that's what was intended, but that's what happens. So the bottom part of your message, included the old sig, follows the new sig Bit you don't lose 30 minutes' worth of text. On balance, it's a lot better. But you do have to watch out for it. -- Paul Berkowitz -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
