That's only if you see the errors. In that case it's a lot easier to use the Satimage osax (available as a standalone in both OS X and 8/9, different version):
convert Windows to Mac "some string"
(Be careful not to use it on empty "" strings though - it crashes!)
Way cool! Didn’t know that was in Satimage, which I have; I will definitely use it. Of course, my script was written (or begun) before Satimage existed.
