Aha! That I _can_ replicate, yes. Don't do any reinstalling. I shall inquire if it is a bug or by design. My guess it that it's a bug. When you have IMAP accounts set to empty IMAP Deleted Items folders on quit you get a dialog asking if you want to re-connect to "complete the action", which would in fact be necessary. But for your local Deleted Items folder it is not necessary, of course. My guess is that they've "linked" the two operations together when they probably shouldn't.
