Perhaps. I'll check that out.

But my goal is to eventually wipe the original OS X partition due to
uncorrectable directory damage there. (The "Keys out of order" error.) I
just wanted to make sure 'Rage and other Office vX apps wouldn't choke when
that partition is gone.

I can't see why that would be a problem, but I also can't see why 'Rage has
some link to that partition.

Do you see a problem in doing that?
