Is this 'finding' in the text of a message, Sven? If that's the case it's the system setting you need to change (in the General pane of the System Prefs panel), which perhaps you still have set to the default indistinct grey. After flirting with green for a while, I have currently plumped for orange as being the most visible hilight colour. Aesthetic considerations aside, it stands out pretty well.
