Thanks for the tips, Allen. I guess I should have been a little bit more
clear as to why I need this script. That would have been a valuable piece of
background info to share with everyone, don't you think? ;)

I use this script on those few pieces of mail that get past both Entourage's
built-in Junk Mail Filter and my own custom-built spam catcher rules. Using
the contextual menu's "Apply rules" option on selected spam messages as you
suggested -- and please correct me if I'm wrong -- wouldn't be of much use
if the slippery rogue spam message wasn't caught the first time around, no?

Perhaps I should try tools such as SpamSieve/PostArmor/SpamFire or simply
wait until Entourage has it's own Bayesian spam filter. I'd love to be able
to ditch this script altogether, but I suppose it exists because at present
there are some spam messages that only humans can identify.

The hosting company that will soon be replacing my Mac.com account has Spam
Assassin installed on the server side, so in a week or two I will be using
this script much less often.

What do you do when you get a piece of spam that gets past your filters,
Allen? Or do your filters catch everything?

Cheers,

Justin
