Um, hm.

I checked, and I have no (0) copies of this daemon running.  Should it be
running at all times?

Also, I read the little article on the daemon at the link provided.  Why
should I have to write and compile an AppleScript to kill this process and
then remember to do so before installing MS updates?  Why can't the
installer close it down?
