Doesn't the update make some change to the Microsoft Component Plugin?  The
page says that if the update is successfully installed, the plugin will show
up as version 10.1.2 under Get Info.

But it doesn't update any programs beyond where you would have been with
10.1.1, rendering it useless for users of 10.1.1 unless the Component Plugin
has some update that's important (unlikely).
