What mbox did you find stored on the haddisk. Do you mean the files stored in the Microsoft User Data folder? Those aren't mbox files, but rather a MS-proprietary database format. Just copy the whole Microsoft User Data folder back to your Documents folder from the backup you made onto CD. You did back up the whole Microsoft User Data folder, right?
