That's correct, at least for Entourage.  Other PC clients have built-in
support for this like you were expecting, but it's still hardly terrific.

It would be more efficient to send a Bcc copy of these messages to your ISP
account to test this.  Then you can see when it comes in.  I agree that the
Return Receipt idea just isn't reliable enough to test this with.
