I am running OS X 10.2.3, and FruitMenu v2.51 works just fine for me when
Entourage is in front.  MS Word also fully obeys the "hide" command and
hides all open document windows.

I'd suggest you investigate other possible problems with your system and
check to be sure you don't have the apps giving you trouble listed in the
"exclude" list for FruitMenu.

I've had no problems at all with the 10.2.3 update, however some people have
reported that the 10.2.3 combo updater worked better for them than the
individual 10.2.3 updater. Perhaps a backup and reinstall is in order for
you?
