According to the iSync product page at Apple:
"iSync Compatible devices:  Mac to Mac:
Any PowerBook G4, iBook, iMac, eMac or Power Mac G4 running Mac OS X
v.10.2.2 (.Mac membership required)."

There are other applications which can keep data other than calendar/address
book data synchronized without a .Mac account, but it works differently.
